Pediatrics in I.D.Clinic

In pediatrics, the period from birth to 18 years is divided into stages:

  • newborns (first 28 days of life);
  • pregnancy period (from 29 days to 1 year);
  • nursery period (from 1 to 3 years);
  • preschool period (from 3 to 6 years);
  • junior school period (from six to 12 years);
  • adolescent period (from 12 to 18 years old).

The first examination of a newborn takes place in the first days after discharge from the maternity hospital. The doctor gets to know the child, information about childbirth, the course of pregnancy. Examines the baby for visible pathologies, conducts a conversation with the parents and gives recommendations on nutrition, organization of the daily routine and proper care of the child.

In the first year of his life, the baby actively grows and develops. The immune system is formed. The pediatrician necessarily appoints an examination of individual specialists, namely: an orthopedist, an ophthalmologist, a cardiologist, and a surgeon. There is no need to be afraid of this, the doctor just needs a complete picture of the child's body development.

Planned examinations of a child up to one year old are carried out monthly with the aim of:

  • early detection of health disorders;
  • monitoring of the child's development;
  • assistance to parents in organizing child care;
  • timely and correct introduction of supplementary food;
  • control of scheduled vaccination.

A pediatrician specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of various organs and systems of a child. Therefore, children under the age of three are subject to regular preventive examinations.

When it is necessary to consult a pediatrician out of turn:

  • increased body temperature;
  • symptoms of a cold (cough, runny nose, sore throat);
  • abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea;
  • rash on the skin;
  • infrequent or frequent urination;
  • decrease in appetite;
  • lethargy, fatigue, reduced interest in the game;
  • development lag behind age norms and peers.

We remember that self-medication can harm the health of your little one.
